The Resourceful Women's Awards Luncheon was established in 2000, to recognize and honor women whose community and professional pursuits advance the empowerment of women, a core element of YWCA of the Greater Capital Region's mission. The annual event is a great chance to honor the accomplishments of inspiring women and network with business owners, community members, and elected officials. All proceeds help sustain, enhance, and expand the unique services and programs YWCA-GCR provides. In addition to our economic empowerment, homelessness prevention, food security programs and services, YWCA-GCR houses 104 women and over 50 children every day.
Presented by Groff NetWorks, Troy Web Consulting, and Times Union/Women@Work, this event honors 2019 Resourceful Woman of the Year, Daquetta P. Jones, Deputy Commissioner for Administration with New York State Civil Service as well the Woman of Inspiration, Resourceful Women in 12 categories, Young Girls On A Mission and Community Partner Award recipients. It is with deep gratitude that YWCA-GCR recognizes The Women's Business Council as the 2019 Community Partner awardee for their priceless work, compassion, contribution and commitment to YWCA-GCR's mission, services and programs.
